With the S_04 we present for the first time a telescopic prism pole developed on our own.
On its development, we made the same great demands as on the universal prism pole (sewer measuring rod) Vektor: light stable accurate. The outside and inside tubes are made of an optimized blend of carbon and glass fibre (CFK/GFK). As it is not possible to print a graduation permanently on the inside tube, we have taken a successful development from the sewer measuring rod a measuring band incorporated in the tube material. In this way, we got a high-quality graduation, which can be adjusted by millimetres.

The new GPS antenna pole is made of the same high-quality high-tech material as the prism pole. Its special characteristic is a bow, which enables the attachment of heavy field calculators in the pole centre.

Our range of special equipment for the use of mobile calculators and electronic field books was consequently extended. All holders for the different calculator types (new: Panasonic Tough book CF-P1 and CF-18, Walkabout Hammerhead XRT) can be used universally: on the tripod, on the GPS- or prism pole or on an external tripod. Easy operation, simple attaching or removing from the holder and protection against falling out.

In the one-man-operation or with the robotic measuring the total station/EDM will be operated from a control unit. Both tools have therefore to be separated from each other. When using a notebook as control unit worn with a carrier system around the neck, the relatively high weight is uncomfortable during longer use. The use of the calculator on a light tripod does also resolve this problem. Together with a data transmission without cable, the notebook can be placed anywhere near the total station/EDM. When measuring in the robotic mode, the simple taking and placing of the calculator directly at the object point is possible. There is no disturbing heavy tool around the neck; the operator can do other work during measuring.
The new calculator tripod Easy Going was developed especially for this area of application. It is characterized by its low weight and its simple handling. Although it is very light we have concentrated our development on making it very robust.
